Workshops at Grand Marais Art Colony, Grand Marais MN

The longest-lived art colony in Minnesota, the Grand Marais Art Colony, began in 1947 as a summer refuge for artists seeking study in the wilderness. The art colony now offers over 200 classes, educational opportunities and artist-driven community events.

• "Plein Air Painting from the Beginning" - Wednesday to Saturday, May 13th to May 16th, 2026 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• This class will be located at Bearskin Lodge midway up the Gunflint Trail from Grand Marais. Lodging is included in the class fee. More information to be posted later

Workshops at Peninsula School of Art, Fish Creek WI

With instruction in all fine art media, at all skill levels, Peninsula School of Art has brought excellence to art education for over 50 years. Nationally recognized art educators lead workshops in our light-filled, spacious studios nestled in the inspirational beauty of Door County, WI.

• "Fall Color in Watercolor" - Tuesday to Thursday, September 1st to 3rd, 2026 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• "Fur and Feathers" - Friday to Saturday, September 4th and 5th, 2026 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

• "Building a Better Composition" - Wednesday mornings February 4th thru 25th, 2026, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
• "Color Confidence" - Wednesday mornings March 11th thru April 29th, 2026, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. No class on April 15th.
